Card/Deck [stupid] So, ante cards

So, I've had an idea for a while that I'll probably try out at some point. I have all of the old ante cards lying around and I've thought about playing cube now and the with some sort of "pseudo-ante".
The rules would be something along the line of you having to build a 41 card deck, ante the top card, until you get a card that is not a basic land card. If you win, you get the ante cards, and get to re-arrange your deck quickly if you want to. Then, up to 41 cards per deck again and play it out.

This is probably something that would be played about as often as I play with Vanguards, but it can be exciting to spice things up now and then.

Any thoughts on that?

I played with Contract from Below in the cube before, it's totally nuts. Most busted card ever. We din't play any kind of errata, you just ante the top card when you cast it, like it says. It's fine that there sin't an ante before then. But the card is nuts and I took it out after we had enough fun with it. INCREDIBLE in storm, in a friend's cube.
