I have created this topic to ask if you have a favorite vanilla card but then I realized I don’t even know if a non-creature card can be considered vanilla. Is Plains vanilla?

Okay back on topic: Do you have a favorite card that doesn’t require a text box to be understood fully?

Yes. And mountain is strawberry, forest is mint...

Oh yeah, that's my favorite one as well. I will never forget how amazed my 11-year-old self when he first saw that card. And it had still a place to shine in my ravnica cube, where even weaker vanilla creatures are played (Grizzly Bears, Goblin Piker) as that one resembles retail limited more.

Yeah, until it was downshifted to common in A25 (2018). Even the reprints in 8ED and 9ED had it as a rare.

I remember considering to build Ghost Husk on paper, then not doing it because I couldn't stomach paying rare price tags for *that*.

I was playing back then, as a kid. I even ran mono-red in high school and yet was somehow totally unaware of fireblast.
