When one hobby inspires another

I had some time off work and needed a project. I was never happy with my cube storage so I built a box! With the money I spent on tools and wood I certainly could have bought a better box for much cheaper, but that's not the point! I discovered a new hobby, in fact. I really enjoyed working on it and I'm already thinking about what to build next.

Solid oak (except for plywood bottom), custom fit 360 card cube box. Cube on the right, lands, tokens, etc, on the left:

man I wonder how long it would take for a sweet light stain to dry without the potential of fucking with your cardboard/plastic.

Thanks!

I applied one thin coat of Polyurethane and let it dry overnight. No hardware, just wood glue.

Sweet and simple, nice box! I wish I had the tools and know-how to make something like this, seems like it would be really rewarding.
