Hey everyone, I didn't add anything from MH3 to my cube yet but I played a couple drafts on Arena and fell in love with my latest deck, so I thought I'd share it and some insights from playing with it. "I want this in my cube" - is what I thought after playing the first round with this deck...

Very exciting, to see where this takes you! I plan to include all of these (nonland) cards plus another 10 or so, we definitely share some design goals ;).

It's definitely potent! Especially since the tokens are not tied to a cast trigger but work with welders and reanimation as well. I dismissed it for my cube because I only have a handful of MV 3+ colorless artifacts. Blue has 2 more and each color has another 3-5. Not sure this is enough...

I like the up to 2*X idea! Depends a lot on your environment but now that I think about your other custom: that would be 3 artifacts turn 2 and swinging for 12 damage the turn after, without safety valves. That's quite a bit.

If you want the second card to be more open ended/powerful you could also word it "Treasures/ (artifact) tokens you control become...". Would definitely make me more excited to draft it/play with it! Otherwise the effect might feel a bit weak as a 3/1 for 3 mana that you have to sac at eot and...

I don't think it needs trample if it goes in the wildfire deck, they should have no blockers :D. I like the design though!

One of the cards from the leaks that cought my eye is this glorious bread and butter amalgamation of: Satyr Way finder Eternal Witness Rampant growth (I might be exaggerating a bit, but I love it next to Winding Way in my cube.)

An explanation for Thraben Inspector could also be that it was picked very early but the player then switched colors putting it in a perpetual Sideboard state ;)! And since its (usually) so popular you would not see it late/wheel it to make more decks.

I drafted it a couple times but the mana cost is really rough so it mostly ended up in the sideboard. On a similar note though, I played the qualifier play-in on the weekend and had a sweet dimir control deck with Rush of Dread. I had a grindy game against an Orzhov deck which I won by casting...

I just now realised that I can save images and don't have to do them from scratch every single time! Any idea how many images I can save? Also, I have stored the art locally and it says it uses way more than using a URL for the card but I don't see that option.

Also depends a bit on your format. If your cube has a low curve it's much easier to double spell than if it's more like retail limited (used to be ;) ). I really like double spelling as an incentive. If it's a 0/0 with counters, I think it would be up there with Clarion Spirit as one of the...

A small addendum since it's getting repeated praise on the internet and I might as well order a copy of it to try it out... or not: Ralph Horsley does work for WotC and also has some nice art not used on magic cards. I went with the left one first but didn't like the overlapping Godzilla...

That may be, a sample size of 3 for me is also not very robust ;). I somehow ended up in Selesnya twice and was playing 18-20 creature decks. Work out nicely once, not so well the second time. Maybe I'm also just not picking removal high enough.

You surmised correctly, it is a fake new set with traditional rarity distributions (since it's not a phantom draft, we can't have them get too many rares now can we). It feels a bit more like a cube because I don't think it follows their set blueprints so strictly. I feel like there is way less...

More of a jab at WotCs product development practices. By now there must be handfuls of us cube curators filling out those surveys and someone at wizards will surely notice that there is money to be had ;). The real Cube masters is coming this year though (hint, it's disguised as another format...
