The thing about lifegain is that there are interesting ways to handle it... it's just that it's probably going to look more like Lifelink Tribal (feat: Duskfang Mentor and Path of Bravery) than Soul Sisters. At least then the archetype wouldn't be a hard counter to good ol' Lightning Bolt.

I feel like lifegain archetypes can be non-toxic, but I agree that "just permanently make your creatures super big lol" really isn't a good way to go about it. As for what I want... I want -1/-1 counter support in all five colors.

If Spreading Spores was a real card, I'd play it in every Green deck ever alongside Arbor Elf. Yes, even in formats where it wasn't legal.

It's also entirely possible that the kids will think that the OTK deck is awesome, and will want to build their own.

The nice thing is that you don't have to do the shuffle if they'd actually benefit from it. You can tutor up a critter or gain a bunch of life instead. Or you can exile their graveyard and then make them shuffle it into their library...

Yep! Which has fantastic synergy with shuffling that player's graveyard into their library... Even though Cryptic Command gets all the press, Primal Command is my favorite Command.

Light-Paws seems like hilarious nonsense, and the Kami seems... interesting. Maybe not so much with white's removal auras, but it seems like it'll do work with Sagas and stuff like Mire's Grasp.

I'm the monster here, since I love to win with Storm. It makes the Jenny/Timmy in me happy as a clam. I'd definitely say that any Psychic Puppetry-powered engine is the best win-con. I'm not exactly sure what lose-con I hate the most...
