General (SNC) Streets of New Capenna Previews

Don't get me wrong, new 'tusk is definitely worse, between costing GG and not being flickerable (and thus also not playing around exile removal properly)... but it's really weird they went so specifically close to Thragtusk in the numbers.

Personally, I've always felt like the real problems with Thragtusk were that the token was too small and I didn't have a way to cycle it but still get the triggers. That's definitely always been my issues with Thragtusk. Yes indeed.

The tanuki in the actual set is a dog also so at least they're consistent... Greater Tanuki[/c]

this looks like a Pokemon card, but in a good way - like aesthetically this is a really, really good use of borderless

Has anyone given Wedding Invitation a shot? Played with it a little in Alchemy Standard and it seemed good but like, I have no idea if it's actually too slow/mopey for the decks that want an anthem, if that makes sense? edit: lmao yes I did mean Wedding Announcement I do that every time my bad

Honestly, I expected you to say Stop That Which is slightly less miserable because theoretically you can stop your learned habit of card-flicking if you have it buuuuuuut...

How does the secret lair thread not have the hottest drop of 2021 yet?

That is a totally reasonable reason. I am not disciplined enough to not do so (Turntimber Symbiosis opens the door for Kazandu Mammoth and so on...) but I can't blame you!

Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Testing/Includes Thread

I'm really surprised to see Geist on the Near Certain list but no mention of Deathbonnet Sprout. I feel like if you want one green one-drop that cares about the graveyard you likely also want the other? I could be wrong.

Sets [MIC] Midnight (Hunt) Innistrad - Commander

Marwyn, the Nurturer but for humans. Which I am not interested in, but at least I could see someone ever being. (I will admit the vigilance and tapping for any color goes a long way.)

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

It's like they gave the artist really literal direction: "a body is missing, Sorin just found out and is mad" and now he's gonna go punch out Dick Tracy or something

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

/ Of all the things I expected to see in this set, "green Grave Titan with upside" would have been so far down the list I'd need a telescope.

Nobody posted this friend yet either! I'm excited. It's no Ophiomancer, but mostly in ways that are good things, although I do wish the tokens stuck around even if they could never block.

    General Silver bordered cards

Super Secret Tech albeit with errata so it only affects you, because otherwise it'd be hilariously symmetric given my love of shiny objects (and just like on Magic Online, foil cards make foil tokens)

Copies of the spell also, it's like still a big functional difference.

I actually really like this card - even in paper, just reveal your hand and flip crap off the top until you hit whatever you're supposed to seek and call it good - as a higher-power Divination that is, you know, still a Divination so it's only for lower power levels.

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

I'm at least gonna give this one a shot. I like the draw-two theme even if I suspect this is usually "make a 1/1 do nothing when it dies".

Although, I must admit, one of these is an actual card: Not sure if it's an actual good card, it's a weird combo of high and low power level, but I do like it.

Came back to quote myself and laugh at the thought that any of these die-roll cards could ever be good anywhere. Seriously, you're going to have to bust out the entire Crown Royal dice bag, they've got cards asking for a d4, a d8, a d10, a d12, as well as the d20. (that one stag looks okay...
