It also it grabs the new Nissa. When you grab her, if you are using land ramp, you'll have 6 lands out, plus the one she gives you means she's ready to flip. The card isn't great or anything (the Sun Titan comparison is apt), but its got game.

That is one sweet burn spell!

3/3 Vig for 1W? It has the power level, but yeah, I could see not running it. Filler is filler, even if its pushed. This card is weaker, but slightly more interesting. There are so many interesting 2 mana white creatures, I don't think I'd play it.

Hierarch: That is one swingy mana elf. If you get in its a 2/2 for 1 that taps for mana after swinging, but if you don't its a, umm, human tribal mons goblin raider? Starfield: Because Opalescence was SO fun the first time. . .

    Reuke 540 (Opinions Wanted!)

If you want options, the best place to start is cards like the multicolor charms from Ravnica/Planeswift/Alara/Khans. Those cards mostly decent power level and give you a lot of interesting choices. Obviously you need good mana to run them, though. With regard to your idea for "fun" and "less...

I'm just saying, my copy is going to say Aura, your copy can say whatever you want it to. Seriously, though, the mechanic is cool and Languish is pretty awesome.

That card needs to say aura instead of equipment. If only there was some invention that would allow me to write over the old text so that the new text could say something of my choosing instead. . .

I miss playing Deep Sea Kraken, I should see if it still has a role in my list. Sol Ring is completely out of place here. Some of the creature choices seem really weak compared to their peers, the Emissary cycle, Misthoff Kirin, Death-Hood Cobra, for example. A few of the spells too. You...

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

Reminds me of this guy, who I like. Besides the obvious casting cost difference, you trade the permenant boost for a much easier trigger. Repeated scry adds up. I like the card. Its strong, but not so much I'd balk at using it if it was pushing the direction I wanted.

I haven't played Keyflower, but Keythedral uses the same cutesy art scheme and is one of the most cutthroat games I've played. Almost everything you do in that game comes at the direct expense of someone else.

If what you dislike about Mobas is controlling a dude on a team with 4 other dudes and pressing doing the same 4 skills over and over to kill another team of 5 dudes, Heroes of the Storm won't change everything. Its still that kind of game. If what you dislike about Mobas is the lack of...

Love it. Red just needs a couple more incidental red artifacts to solidify this. Hammer of Porphorus, Shrine of Burning Rage, Tuktuk and Iron Myr are a good start, but like one or two more and we're there. That red ring equipment from M-whatever sucks right? I thought about making goblin...

I like one drops with upside as much as more then most people. I mean, I run scute mobThis isn't my favorite, but its not bad. I'm already loving the hand-washing over this guy. Everyone is all over his nuts, saying he's like THE BEST CARD EVER so that they don't have to admit to themselves that...

As much as I loath the games that make you grind to get their content and don't relish the idea building up a content library in another MOBA, the core gamplay of Heroes of the Storm just makes so much more sense then Lol/DotA/Smite/HoN that I'm probably going to do it. Now, if I can only...

Chandra is a faceburning machine. She's definitely powerful, but not interesting at all. Liliana's definitely the most interesting and seems really good too. Nissa is a funny scute mob/borderland ranger mash up, probably decent. Jace is a weird take on a looter, also pretty decent. I guess...

General combo in cube: thoughts on the "showdown turn"

I like combos where the end result is a gross acceleration of the usual axis of play. Playing a madcap skills on any old creature is acceptable beatdown, but playing it on a doublestriker gives your oversized returns. If you are attempting to kill your opponent with damage, smashing with a...

Card/Deck Archetypes - Going Big with BR

Yeah, Anotak was the one that tried a scaled down Thoctar and convinced me it was a bad idea. I think if you don't think its powerful enough as is, you should try to add more power to the 6 mana version rather then trying to scale it down, the ability it has is really powerful.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I'm trying the card now myself, its probably awful. Like, maybe Winter Orb level, but since it actually kills you its probably less frustrating and its counterpurpose to aggro (doesn't deal damage), so its a bit trickier to implement, so I'm hoping its fun by virtue of uniqueness/effort? I'm...

    Card/Deck WWhite Knights

Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit has the upside potential worth the restriction. Knight of Meadowgrain enchants well, supports lifegain and helps against burn. Serra Avenger is easy to cast on time (not a "real" two drop) and plays well with that Tethmos High Priest, Timely Hoardemate and Return to...
