    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I'm already trying to support death cloud and braids and smokestack, so I think a card like call to the grave fits that theme pretty well. Incidentally, I'm running Reassembling skeleton to get a lock with those cards already so call might just make it in :)

That's a good argument :) The lock only works with a zombie deck so maybe it isn't that oppressive. Worth a try at least

call to the grave Is this a fair card in a zombie dense deck or miserable? I can see it ending up as a repetitive board state with no interaction. It does really insentivise playing zombies though.

penumbra spider I like this as a brindle shoat style creature as well. skaab ruinator How much self mill do I want before I run this card? Keeping in mind a soft UB zombie theme in general.

Knight of the meadowgrain reads so much cleaner BUT, it's also a CC card. Lone Rider is much harder to parse, but is also much easier to slot into a deck.

I'm tempted to switch from occultist to phoenix now!

Do you prefer flamewake phoenix over Chandra's phoenix?

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

After having played against this I can sadly report that both me and other players in my playgroup found it to be game ruining garbage. It completely shuts down any combat, and becomes a boring removal check that halts what could've otherwise been an interesting match. Cut it after one draft!

Personally I like giving green some generous fixing, but I also run only comes in tapped fixing.

Although what zombies do you wanna bring back with these two bad boys/girls?

Honestly how did I miss Gisa and Geralf. I recently rebuilt my cube, and UB ended up being sort of self-mill and soft-zombie focused (a few matters cards but a good couple of zombies). This is like the perfect signaling card.

    Modest equipment

Honestly, War gear isn't really a synergy card as much as it is a haste 3/2 creature for 3 that you play in almost every aggro deck.

You can also use dark dweller to sacrifice a creature that has a removal spell aimed at it, to try to eek out some value out of it that way.

Yeah I've also noticed the earlier stated sentiment of 6 toughness creatures bring difficult to find

Super clean version of Sphinx's Tutelage. Even if it is a little weaker I like this way better.

I mean, a lot of aristocrat decks I've seen and played usually try to grind out a bunch of value out of death-triggers and sacrifice effects and this potentially doubles the amount of such you can get out from your current board state. Imagine having some creatures like doomed traveler and...
