    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

I think the Azorius artifact deck prefers Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle over Serra Paragon. I might be making that switch in my cube in the newest update. I liked Paragon more as a surrogate Lurrus when I wasn't supporting Companion. Tameshi is another draw into white. Hangarback Walker Walking...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

Started reviewing my guild archetypes, and realizing how out of whack things have gotten over the last few months. A lot of redundancies, and I’m craving some new archetypes…with more highs and lows Going to do a little bit of an overhaul as I try to bring back some of the spirit of the v1 list...

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

I like organizing by guild because it easy to see the intersecting plans of something like Simic Turboland and Izzet Storm without spelling it out for your drafters. The guild archetypes are both blue dominant with secondary facilitators in red and green and use many of the same blue cards. (An...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

I’ve started a new primer several different times only to stop before I get even halfway. Just never seems to be enough time to put it together, and I feel like I set the bar a little high for myself with the last one But it’s long overdue. Maybe I’ll take another crack at it!

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

So for Simic, I would view the creature based dredge and discard deck as one archetype. They have a couple different mechanics but are functionally the same deck, and I find there isn’t enough density of both for them to be uniquely independent Is there enough density for a dedicated Simic...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

I hone my card selection periodically by reidentifying each of my main guild archetypes. I aim for 4 distinct archetypes within each guild….often the distinction is play style and win condition, but there is mechanical/thematic overlap Like dimir has a couple archetypes rooted in self-mill…one...

Very cool...2 mana is a lot more appealing for this effect. Holy crap. This runs circles around FTK. Super juiced. It's big, it's an engine, it self-enables. Both Goyfs are probably a little too much for my cube....but I'm giving them a hard look!

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

I think most of the cuts are reasonable. I still like Angel of the Ruins in an artifact heavy environment. Exiling 2 on ETB is pretty substantial. Timeless Dragon is okay, but it was rarely a card my decks wanted. It fits in everything, but often gets squeezed out when optimizing a deck build...

Yeah that's a bummer for sure. It's nice that it targets any graveyard at least

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I used to run genesis chamber and it’s something I consider bringing back occasionally. It’s a combo card by nature. I never really considered its uses outside of combo, but I suppose it’s possible….It seems a little fussy to try and “break” at lower power levels imo

Another wordy, but sweet card. Scute Swarm was always an intriguing card, but 2cmc makes this a lot more palatable. I like that it plays well on curve, but also provides a little extra something as you get later in the game and have mana to burn and bodies on the ground Playing this on a mana...

Impulse or instant speed rampant growth. I think this is objectively better than growth spiral…the exception being when you have a land in hand and the top card of your library is the card you’d want out of the top 4. This is generally more flexible and desirable in more stages of the game...

definitely feels like more of a value play…whereas pod more easily assembles a combo. I think ritual will be appealing to more cube archetypes than pod but looking at the top ~25% of your deck is pretty dang good
