I had a bunch of red cards and was considering Jund (hence the Wooded Foothills, Taiga) until I saw Gideon, Blade Splicer (who I played but I forgot to add here on here), and Sun Titan late in pack 2.

I agree with what sigh said. Also, Angel of Serenity is amazing as a Pod finisher, if Birthing Pod is in your environment, so that's another consideration.

The UW Elixir decks in that Standard were a thing of beauty. I think the key addition that pushed the deck was an unconditional answer to everything: Planar Cleansing You have to be able to stabilize no matter what, and this thing is a nuke for the board.
