    Sets (TDM) Tarkir: Dragonstorm Previews!

I had been inappropriately anti-Cori-Steel Cutter strictly because it made Monk tokens. I've got 17 cards from the main set in my Cube list currently, hoping to fire in the next two weeks somehow, but I had avoided the novel equipment for the above dumb reason. Then I saw it at the pre-release...

    Sets (TDM) Tarkir: Dragonstorm Previews!

I would happily Cube this if it were an adventure. I like 4MV dragons, they make for seriously under appreciated threats, even in modern-era Magic. As a split card, I just don't really want either side enough, but they would be more than the sum of their parts of I could have both. Like I've...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Seems totally fine. I like the design but wish it was one less mana or instant speed.

    Sets (TDM) Tarkir: Dragonstorm Previews!

I honestly don't need to be talked into a 3/3 flyer for 2C with upside all that much. With how pushed and value-generating the premiere 2 and 3 drops of the last few years have been, it's an area I'd really like to see more exploration of. White 3s are really tough. It's one of the most...

    Sets (TDM) Tarkir: Dragonstorm Previews!

A new Acidic Slime! I still think I'm going to skip all Omen cards for the confusion they'll certainly cause with Adventure, but this is a modal one that works pretty well as a split card and if I get enough Omens I'm hot on, I'll probably try it out. Unless you're a color balance absolutist, I...

I love Smirking Spelljacker but this is a REALLY COOL DRAGON (with much better art) and it also costs UU, making it harder to just throw it into any deck. As I'm looking to de-power my Cube, these kinds of changes are looking more appealing.

I mean, not to me as much, in all honesty. I don't mind most UB cards either like so many folks do, and will mind it less with the axing of the awful UB frame. That said, it does water down the "Cube as a museum of Magic" thing, and so many pushed modern cards can easily invalidate old...

    Sets (TDM) Tarkir: Dragonstorm Previews!

We just got this, which feels like it's generally stronger than the ~12 year old Doomed Traveler because it can (eventually) attack for more and plays into common artifact synergies: Nesting Bot This design space seems under-explored for how much WotC loves tokens and hyping up 1-drops these...

this convinced me to reconsider Birthing Ritual even though it's a big block of text

    Sets [FIN] [UB] Final Fantasy

I really like this design for a red deck. Single cards that get the gears turning, while still hitting really hard, are great. I also love the amount of words used here -- not very many for all the possibilities he represents. Very grokable. Very cool.
