Yeah, I feel like that's true. I understand that straying from the original would be against what they want to do, but the cards need to be readable. It feels like there's been an increasing discussion about that recently.

So, I've replaced all my artifacts with old border brown frames. But I was stuck on how to handle the coloured artifacts. Eventually, I just made a new frame for them that works in CardConjurer. Here's an imgur link to the idea because the cards are too big to post. Let me know if anyone wants...

I think there's also the chance to make cheaper prizes. Like maybe it's not packs. It's something with lower stakes. A tropy or something else like that?

Messing around with some ideas for non-flip battles. As I'm pushing the flavour of the cube towards an Empire vs. Outlands theme, I think there could be a place for some really cool cards that represent a battle (I guess the exact reason they made them...haha). But I don't really like any of...

I really want to run the cycle of LandCyclers from LotR. Honestly, I like the Troll and Lorien revealed. I can see the W and G one getting replaced with Dinos. Maybe the black one too. They may get replaced and then erratta'd to be {1}.

Completely guessing: I imagine there is a significant portion of magic players who aren't buying much product (like me!) but have a lot of other interests (D&D, LotR, Dr. Who, 40K, etc.). I also imagine that an MTG cross-over pulls a significant portion of that group to buy/collect the specialty...

Every year that goes by this comic gets less and less funny. :(
