    General Old border cube archetypes

Taste and objectively do not belong together in a post/sentence. To each their taste. I like the old border, it has much more a fantasy/magic feel to me. However, the old borders/frames and especially the white border frame combo had some reading issues. They made 2 changes: the first one is to...

Yes strong cards. Thing is that the monger can be chumped for life. The kavu is strong, but a liability when the opponent has no creatures (which happens sometimes). Other times it's a 2 for one, which the ipa block is famous for. The burst is a 3 for 2. Edit: I am speaking from a draft/cube...

Besides the ones already named: Draco Doomsday specter Shivan wurm It is hard to choose a favorite, but maybe: Tahngarth, talruum hero The ipa block was great. The games have a good pace (slow for these days), no power outliers which run away immediately and so on. The only thing is that...

This. Thousand times this. Old border wise is nonsense. However, desiring a certain power level is much more reasonable. Even some new cards fit in nicely with cards from set xxx from decades ago. There is a quite a power level difference between the old border sets. However, recent creatures...

Sarcasm and jokes are hard to pull off (on the Internet). Maybe somebody did not get it and thinks, yeah great idea without taking into account that it will be an outlier. Maybe they know this and their cube can handle it, who knows.

Well, they remain paired as long as you control both... The comprehensive rules say you can inky soulbound creatures you control. So you can not even soulbound it. Always a joy when the reminder text omits quite important stuff.

    Sets [FIN] [UB] Final Fantasy

Sure, you addressed it by saying a land is worth nothing after turn 6. That part wholy depends on the speed of the game/other cards you have. Some cubes do need more lands. However, I often forget that nowadays turn 6 is already a lot.

Eh? Bolt lands enter untapped but those are you get a (un)tapped land OR the spell. These are you get a tapped land or a spell AND a tapped land. In the end game these are way stronger than the bolt lands.

As said by many: number of words does not equal complexity. This holds true not only for reminder text but for abilities as a whole. Thing is: having many different keywords/abilities does require more capacity, but one can have a cube with 6 wordy abilities and avoiding any other and be fine...
