Fiiine, twist my arm, here is my dog depicting me exactly when a new such sword appears, ears, tongue, and all:
(he had just woken up, you can tell because the ears are red, clearly someone talked about Buster Sword near him)
My ears always perk up a little when I hear "sword of X and Y except no protection", so welcome, Sword of Bus and Ter
I'm not in the market for a weird Chandra's Ignition flashback Bedlam Reveler trigger... thing? But if I was this would be it!
Big fan of this and Summon: Bahamut as surprisingly interesting cheating-in targets in slightly different ways (would rather Sneak Attack a Bahamut, but would rather Show and Tell a KotR, and so on)
I really dislike Sun Titan - there's power there, but it fits so poorly with the decks that want to include, and then cast, white six drops. Maybe if you could run the lick-and-stick with Phantasmal Image every game? But even then, if I can guarantee I draw Image and something my first choice...
Fling except a big butt or an indestructible idiot survives it. Bonus synergies with anything modifying "dealing damage" (lifelink! infect! squirrellink!) or whatever.
I don't know of another card to compare it to, but I think in practice, you'll miss it when you first read it totally out of context like here, then you'll cast it for the first time and say something like "all your stuff dies, your Blood Artist triggers and I take... waaaaaait, end the turn...
I'm not often tempted by five mana wraths, but:
While it's no Fumigate, the slow deck that wants a five mana wrath will likely appreciate having Bonus Random Shatterstorm. And it doesn't mind the turn ending - which isn't all downside either, because it means "dies" triggers get removed from...
all the rare equipments, plus the one uncommon we've seen so far, have them with one of the job's weapons' names:
Summoner's Grimoire Dragoon's Lance
also I like a starter deck card for once cause it's just Big Dumb Idiot:
Almost certainly not, unfortunately:
There might be a sixth colorless one as part of the cycle, which is why I say "almost certainly", but I wouldn't bet on it.
When it first got spoiled, I showed that card to my wife, who does not play Magic, and asked her who it depicted - and, of course, she instantly said "the boys!". I agree with you that it's the only reference that isn't bad.
Normally I just kind of shrug off most of the commander cards, but...
Staff of the Storyteller says hello, even if this isn't really a two-drop.
This does a lot for the cost, since it's even "each end step", even if I don't often have a deck that's putting counters on creatures twice per...
