    Sets (TDM) Tarkir: Dragonstorm Previews!

MaRo's on the record as saying he wishes something like that had been done, I think - he wouldn't change much about Alpha but he'd mess with card types a bit (make Instant a supertype so that you can just have Instant Creature instead of "flash", and also add stuff like Sorcery - Fire and hammer...

yeah yeah infinite with persist blah blah blah, but she says each creature! she's secretly an anthem! she puts your opponent outta their misery real fast! (commander, not in "real" set)

The Spongebob Secret Lairs are actually fire and you cannot possibly change my mind because for once they actually committed far enough to "we are making a deliberately absurd thing": full spoilers for them all are in this reddit thread

Dromar should have returned every creature of that color except itself, change my mind

Pokemon TCG has a legality code printed on the card in the same corner as the rarity and set symbol and artist and collector number. Their version of Standard is defined as "all cards with codes E, F, or G" or whatever they're currently on at the moment: They've only had it for five years but...

More than good enough! big fan of all the random conjuration stuff, if alchemy has to exist you bet I want something that splits into two Mitotic Slimes or a Kari Zev that conjures an actual Ragavan or the 1/1 idiot that makes a Training Grounds

They did that in Duskmourn too: Ethrimik, Imagined Fiend Welcome the Darkness Eager Flameguide Unnatural Summons and if you count things that could easily have been made paper, but as worded aren't: Housemeld Verdant Dread Wary Zone Guard Seven cards out of thirty that feel like they came from...

The former - think of this like Lord of the Rings, which had the problem that b/r were the best colors by a mile at common but definitely had coherent draft archetypes, complete with typical signpost uncommons. It was a totally functional set to draft.

if only Crashing Footfalls was Kindred - Rhino so you could play Thalia and then make it uncounterable this doesn't actually work but work with me here

Honestly, I'm really mad that the chocobo symbol is just commander when it's a perfectly cromulent normal-looking expansion symbol they could have used for the main set. It's so good! It could have just been the real thing!

the actual set art for Jumbo Cactuar is not nearly as good in comparison IMO so I posted that one instead this is the boring normal one: oh! I forgot the other new thing: (it works like you think it works)

Got some actual-set spoilers today to go with the Commnder spoilers from yesterday. Remember, this is a Standard-legal set. And it's Universes Beyond, so I put that in the thread title. Plus some DFC: // // // as a huge FF geek I'm moderately excited to see cards that will make me...

I think playing 16 is legitimately a strategy in some of the cubes posted, too - even when the extra card will often be another basic, if you specifically need X colored sources, and when running out of resources is a factor even if decking doesn't lose you the game...

I think Yorion in 15-card-minimum is hilarious and we should let people be forced to play 35 card decks if they are deranged maniacs who love the bird snake (like me)

Howlsquad Heavy is probably pretty cool with a sharpie, though. Just take off all the speed bullshit, let it have the mana ability from the start, and sure it can have the Rabblemaster thing too I see the synergy there
