    General Fight Club

I think it depends on what you want to do with your cube, Kytheon is imho definitely an "expert card".

    General CBS

Eh, you can still blink and bounce and sacrifice and do a lot of things with creatures left behind with one of those cards even if you don't have enchantment removal. It's good but it's not busted!

    General Designer vs. Player

I agree! I think you can kinda have your cake and eat it too, because it's good to have a powerband that includes both a lot of "good" cards but some excellent cards. If you want a format mostly devoid of ETB effects, you can always include only a few to really give players those "bomb" cards...

    General Designer vs. Player

I think part of the tension comes from the player role wanting to maximize the performance of their particular draft deck, whereas the designer has to balance all potential decks simultaneously. The shift from designing for every player, and being one of those players later on, might be why...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Yeah, regrowth can act as a kind of tutor in a deck with enough self mill! Cool card imho

I'd like to remind everyone also that a spell land is a "free" spell, which to me makes it significantly better than it would be otherwise.

Mirrorlake probably! It's a really good card, and I think it's a little cleaner than the creature because of "Partner" (which sure you can ignore but hey! I think it's a little cluttery).

    General Timespiral Remastered Timeshifts

Not a timeshift but oh wow! I really like the art on this reprint.

General Revisiting Aristocrat Environments: Things that don't mind dying

Hm, I dunno. I think reveilark was pretty damn good in power cubes like then years ago? Maybe less so now.

General Revisiting Aristocrat Environments: Things that don't mind dying

Uh this card is pretty fucking good actually, getting back 2 creatures is really good, since there's plenty of creatures with 2 or less power that are pretty techy. Grabbing a sac outlet and blood artist for instance after your opponent has finally taken some damage to get that engine off the...

Card/Deck How to execute a minimalist Enchantment theme

Interesting that it triggers on casting enchantments and not them entering the battlefield, since that means you can't really reanimate enchantments or cheat them into play to get triggers from sigil, you really do have to have the enchantment in your hand.

General Revisiting Aristocrat Environments: Things that don't mind dying

I've always found it to be kinda pushed? I'm not sure I'm comfortable running it.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I've seen it played in standard so it's not all that weak, I think you can probably do some interesting things with it if you try to be a little selective with your spot removal before playing the extinction event. Cool! Thanks, I guess it's mostly mythics that don't have reminder text?
  19. Rasmus Källqvist

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Yeah I mean normally you would try to curve out, either one drops and two drops or higher up on the curve with three drops and four drops. I think you'd rarely curve out into a blow out here.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I dunno, depends on what complexity level you allow in cube. It doesn't have any reminder text about what foretell is, and I don't know how many of us are going to be running a huge amount of foretell cards for drafters to learn about it naturally in the draft?
