General Poll: How many lands in your 360?

This is only true if you run a 360 cube and are drafting with the full 8 players.

Card/Deck Make it shine: Harmonic Prodigy

Shipwreck Dowser Murmuring Mystic Quite a few of the spells matter payoff creatures are naturally wizards or shamans. And for those that aren’t we have Sharpies.

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

:edh: Seriously, this is designed for multiplayer formats where you can be more confident that an opponent will have more cards. Even if I can control my own hand size, I can’t guarantee my opponent hasn’t played out their hand. If I’m cheating or ramping a 7 mana value creature into play, I...

My fucking time machine broke down AGAIN. Sometimes being an interdimensional being is more trouble than it’s worth.

An advantage over Bygone Bishop is that Welcoming Vampire triggers off creatures that are not cast, including tokens. I like the idea that any repeat token producer now also draws a card. I don’t like how most triggered abilities are limited to once per turn, either explicitly or by checking at...

I found this to be a very funny cleave parody because it sits at the intersection between clever and stupid that matches my sense of humour. The removal of [text] from the title and flavour text means that the meaning is maintained: you are doing nothing more than indicating a permanent...

I agree about the artwork. Probably the most over-the-top dress depicted on a magic card with its organza bishop’s sleeves, filigree bodice and shoulders that are literally on fire. Olivia had to wear a train of blood to avoid being completely overshadowed at her own wedding.

Will there be a card with “Sacrifice a human: create a Blood token”? Why isn’t the Universes Beyond version of Savior of Ollenbock called Blade with a picture of Wesley Snipes? So many unanswered questions.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I remember when Visara the Dreadful and Kokusho, the Evening Star were considered to be the optimal black 6-drops.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

If you want a reanimation target that can also be used as a curve topper in a more controlling deck it is best to stick to mv 6. Grave Titan is a bit dull as it can be chumped indefinitely while producing tokens to gum up the board. I prefer Noxious Gearhulk which gives a solid two-for-one, a...

I’ve not played the Regent, but enjoy having the Whale in my cube. It fits in both blue self-mill and spells matter decks, and being able to recast spells is more interesting than being big. I prefer the art for the whale.

She has to attack with two other creatures, so you do need to curve out for this to work. Despite this, I also run Gallia as a card for Jund madness, as she also overlaps with Naya go-wide. Xenagos, the Reveller and Satyr Wayfinder negate the trinket text.

Thanks Trainmaster! Does anyone have an older Cubetutor cube (lower ID)?

Thanks for all the replies. I have played Hidden Stockpile and Maw of the Obzedat before with limited success: the former was efficient but unexciting; the latter powerful but overcosted. I will try Teysa and Finale out, but suspect that I will ultimately go back to stockpile: seeing the card...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Crucible is only obnoxious with Fastbond effects to play multiple lands in a turn or Stripmine-type land destruction.

Teysa Karlov vs dramatic finale I run both BWG tokens and BWR sacrifice as themes. Which of the above would you run as a bridging BW card?

    General Cultic Cube video series

The flavour text produced by the bot is very plausible. I can only assume that this is because WotC have been using a bot of their own for the last few years.
