Cards I like:
brigone, soldier of meletis
I'm always a little interested in running Feather1.
celestial armor
Great intersection of effects I associate with white. Auto-attach equipment is almost always nice.
dawnwing marshal
Really respectable card that doesn't try to do too much.
divine...
mossborn hydra
wooded foothills
entish restoration
Careful with that Hydra.
I think Refute looks really good in terms of 3mv counters.
I'll post mine later.
The weirdest thing about all this is how many people I saw on Reddit say "sTaNdArD iS tOo WeAk FoR UB." Like, hey, dumbass. They'll make the cards a lower power level for Standard.
I'm letting it play out. I was excited for Foundations because they're kinda classic designs, but having it come with and increase in UB garbage is a real bummer.
Ranger of Eos has essentially aged out of relevance and this looks like a good update to me.
I like cards that are balanced by the intensity of their cost. WotC said they'd be doing this more with Play Boosters. They've done well on that front so far and are continuing to do well.
ezrim, agency...
MTGgoldfish images are too big. Oh well.
Goblins? Wizards? Zombies? Dragons? It's Onslaught time, baby.
Lotta great "core" designs. Exactly what I wanted to see.
The game is going to look like a fucking joke when the top constructed decks are Jeskai Captain America, Rakdos Blademaster (Cloud, Sephiroth, Mickey Mouse with a Keyblade), Mario Pipe Blink, and Peter Griffin Ramp.
I'm likely to add it to whatever my next iteration is. It's a 3 mana rock for Eldrazi that has a higher ceiling. I don't think you need much synergy beyond a decent artifact density. If it adds 1, fine. If it adds 2+, great.
A few thoughts:
This should probably be a cube blog.
Please figure out how to use CardConjurer. It looks so much better.
"Custom"
Not sure calling it "Riptide" makes sense unless many of us are working on it.
Maybe many of us should work on something?
DSK had a set of similarly powered options. I really like these kinds of cards for fixing opening hands in any format that has time to spend turn two sorting out their land situation.
The LTR ones only costing 1 mana is a huge deal because it can make one land hands keepable and they're fairly...
Anyone have any anecdotal data from playing with rooms? How are they? I'm interested in them, but not sure if I want to add a card type that hurts my neck to read.
ACKSHUALLY City of Brass has a trigger when it taps where it deals damage (which causes loss of life!). VERY IMPORTANT because Urborg and Yavimaya don't allow it to tap for free and you can Twiddle it to GG your opponent.
