    Introducing CubeTutor.com

not sure how your schema is set up, but tables that track one-to-many/many-to-many references between other tables are usually pretty inexpensive to query as long as everything's indexed correctly. This may be a vote for not deleting records, but as you say, there may be a judgement call on if...

Article Podcast - Joy of Cubing - Supporting Combo

I did forget about a fun two-card combo: Wake Thrasher + Basalt Monolith for the arbitrarily large number of untaps for an arbitrarily large wake thrasher. That's a pretty cheap (opportunity cost) and fun combo

Article Podcast - Joy of Cubing - Supporting Combo

downloading this in anticipation of my flight tomorrow. My original list was heavily based on Andy Cooperfauss's list around the time modo cube first was released and did mostly tweaks once AVR came out. This meant that I had splinter twin/kiki-jiki and exarch/pestermite/zealous conscripts, as...

    Forum Aesthetics and Usability

The main forum who I post at is something awful, so that and my day job does set the expectations there. The fact is, there are costs associated with security and the payoff comes with users "feeling" more secure. SSl encrypted logins aren't something I expect most users care about so it's an...

So, here's something I was reminded of: if I'm entering a password into a website, I really do expect it to be on an SSL-encrypted page. Facebook connect is a fine workaround, but I'm actually getting a permissions error trying to associate my account.

Well, the last three all match up poorly will pillar of flame, and thragtusk does 1 for 1 with a 5 CMC turn//burn. The point stands that there's very little catch-all removal, but I bring it up as these points are consistent with wizards's stated goal for narrow removal and most games playing...

Well, get a rebuy on every single ETB effect for a start. We're already at the point where most essentially every mid range and control creature has something good. Kind of like a crystal shard that's not infinite, has to be used right now, and is probably cheaper than re-casting the creature...

    General Fun Budget Cube Cards

It's not unreasonable that fixing in this format are things like clue stones, and other 3rd-tier mana rocks. Mono-colored aggro has been the intro deck of choice for so long that maybe the pool should be constructed around that assumption.
