    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

Some quick SNC swaps: Out: Ghostly Pilferer Sinister Concoction Prized Amalgam Bag of Holding In: Ledger Shredder Lethal Scheme Oskar, Rubbish Reclaimer Currency Converter These are fairly easy substitutions/upgrades. I'll miss the way Amalgam weaponizes the dredge deck, but there's only so...

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

I think you run most of the pieces that scale up to your power level: Breya's Apprentice Pia and Kiran Nalaar Cranial Plating Nettlecyst Mayhem Devil Greater Gargadon Arcbound Ravager Scraheap Scrounger Scrap Trawler Goblin Welder Goblin Engineer Blade of Oni Experimental Synthesizer Smuggler...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

I think Altar demands even more of a deck build than vortex which really just wants you to be aggressive.....especially in this environment since you aren't sacrificing your team to drop Emrakul into play. Altar has always been a fringe include for my cube, and is on the chopping block, because...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

I’m finally settled in enough for a belated response. I appreciate you taking the time to do such a thorough write-up. It’s a rare treat! I’m going to elaborate on some of this later (typing this paragraph last as I initially missed this while typing on my iPhone). Bridging the hate-bearsy...

Sets Battle for Baldur's Gate: Testing and includes

Certain: None Near Certain: None Uncertain but Interested: Baba Lysaga, Night Witch Interested but Doubtful: Sailors’ Bane Altar of Bhaal Mahadi, Emporium Master Minsc & Boo, Timeless Heroes Unsurprisingly, this set is a dud for contributions to my cube. Seems like a great set for a peasant...

General Tips on designing synergy cubes from the pros?

I wish I had a personal manifesto to share, but my thoughts are not that organized. However, I've established some quick personal guidelines in the 5+ years I've been tinkering with the GCC (some of which will be irrelevant when using customs): - Establish a handful of broad themes that will...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

Things have been super hectic since the draft 4/18...so much that it's been hard to find time to do anything online. @landofMordor I'm going to wait to respond to your thoughtful post until I have a little more mental bandwidth. It was great to have you out, and I really wish we had gotten more...

    General Phoenix Tribal

I run a compact red recursive critter suite of: flamewake phoenix Phoenix of ash Ox of agonas I like this package as Ash and Ox can both trigger Ferocious on Flamewake and only require cards in the graveyard to recur. To keep the graveyard full I run a host of red looting spells: faithless...

    General Edict Effects in Cube

100%. I don't play any non-stax edicts (rankle, braids, smokestack, smallpox) these days. They are just often outclassed.

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

We have a full pod lined up for tonight, and @landofMordor will be making it out  A quick update before the draft (undoing a couple of changes from my last update): In: Thalia, Guardian of Thraben Sun Titan Hallowed Burial Merfolk Looter Ethereal Forager Glint-Horn Buccaneer Pia and...

General (SNC) Streets of New Capenna Previews

As much as I want a blue escape creature in my cube, it looks clunky to me. Phantom Monster needs to be relevant in your format for this to be playable imo. 4 mana and 5 cards exiled is a pretty significant investment on top of needing to be in your yard, live a turn, and go unblocked in combat.

This is pretty interesting. Not sure if I like it more than Mire Triton as its deathtouch has been very relevant for me, but card selection over generic mill is enticing. I don't think it will be recurring itself all that often. I don't run tribal support, but if I break that personal rule...

General (SNC) Streets of New Capenna Testing/Includes Thread

I'm probably going to test Ledger Shredder. I think it's a solid card that gets more interesting the greater your cube's spell velocity is. I don't think it's a bomb by any stretch. Obviously way way better in multiplayer I like the soft Arcane Laboratory effect and (in general) any card that...

The “may” clause is clutch. Converter will be crazy good in my cube Love that we get another colorless discard outlet. The Underworld Cookbook has been very good for me

I’ve always had a soft spot for generator servant since running it in my peasant cube back in the day. This scratches a similar itch, but is better…still not sure if it will crack my list. I’m trying to envision what deck wants to sacrifice this?….it seems to be just a good body for equipment

General (SNC) Streets of New Capenna Previews

I had to pivot my dimir control away from discard and more towards dredge to keep up as my cube’s power level increased. That meant cutting clunkier things like Drake Haven and Archfiend of Ifnir in favor of things like Gurmag Angler and Dig through Time However, Oskar is an easy 3/3 for 2 mana...
