I'm looking at artifact sacrifice outlets, which seem to be one of life's persistent questions in cubing. I kind of want to add Altar of Dementia as a sac outlet and a build around card, and that makes me look at equipment again for players who might want to pump some dudes for the altar...

Fair enough! For somebody who wants a cube to look and feel a certain way, there are quite a few ways for WotC to screw up a card, and bad artwork is right up there.

Have you considered Burning Prophet over Heartfire Immolator? The repeatable scry is nice smoothing that can help non-aggro red decks do their thing over the long game. And it's an interesting size that makes it work as a good blocker but also a relevant attacker with the trigger.

I agree with this. When the regular colorless non-C stuff already does what you need it to do, you're golden and you can keep the mana the way you want it while keeping other cards that you can't live without.

According to people who like constructed / Karsten style mana bases in their cubes, it's not crazy to run 16% lands in a cube. For you, that would be over 100 lands. You could have your cake and eat it, too. If you didn't want to make cuts, you could just add more lands, do 16 card packs, amd...

Is this the direction you plan to go? Otherwise I will need help deciphering your reply, since I am not aware of any interesting history that you may have with burn spells. If you do have a certain history or affinity with burn, please share! Personally, I have been playing fast burning red...

Nah, it's just a different type of challenge than designing more of a typical cube. With 30 count, the designer needs to find a way to deal with a supply that gives each player 6+ copies if they want them. The card needs to be useful enough to get drafted instead of drafters just letting it...

I actually switched some of green's ramp from 2MV to 3MV in my current cube, because ramp can easily take up so much space space in 1-2 MV that it crowds out everything else in green. I'm trying to some aggro and madness elements to green after reading the thread below, and I think a slower ramp...

Did you notice that this wish was granted with Murders at Karlov Commander? This cube seems like it would be a blast to play. I love me some artifact value engines that interact with the graveyard, and by now there are soooo many cards that support that.

If you compare it to Shivan Devastator, this does more for the same mana. And I think the Devastator is pretty good.

This is a nice, simple two drop. I don't like the flavor at all, but mechanically it's a nice addition to the mix. I'll definitely pick up this and Treasure Dredger, which is another nice simple two drop mentioned earlier.
