I'm a fan of Jadelight Ranger, it intersects counters, lands, graveyards, blink...fetchable with recruiter of the guard, milita bugler, recurs with reveillark, unearth, etc. You can finesse it a little with scry effects. The only knocks against is being a green three drop when there's so many...

It should be slightly worse in a normal riptide lab cube than Gearhulk, right? I could see it being much better in more powerful cubes. It may be better in my cube than Torrential....hm

I'm really interested in Scholar of the Lost Trove. Good reanimator target, plays well with feldon of the third path, sneak attack, welders, spells matter, ramp....feels like a slightly more fair Torrential Gearhulk that and the new Waker of Waves could round out my blue finishers

I agree. I'd really like the discard deck to have more pivot appeal....there's also Waste Not for narrow discard payoff. right now, my favorite support for the archetype is probably Raiders' Wake which is too low powered to my cube

Why doesn't it work with madness? Tinybones could have game in my cube with such heavy discard and cycling themes. I'm not sure if it could really be a buildaround for me though....it feels like it would be more of a generic hoser in my environment.

Karakas is becoming pretty viable....and I'm so ready for it.

I've been waiting for a playable Aquamoeba for basically forever. Free instant speed discard and evasion is so clutch. The punisher effect is quite strong in my cube. I'm less concerned with the cost of the draw trigger. It'll be more of a late-game mana-sink.
