    Sets Amonkhet (AKH) Spoilers

It's ridiculous with Frantic Search too. {2} to draw 2 card, and cast 2 cards from your hand as Wind Drakes. I love it. Noose Constrictor and now this. UG Madness?

It would be beautiful, if it wasn't a Magic card.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

It's been on and off my list for a while. People don't really maindeck it, it's decent most of the time and situationally great. That should probably be on the low power thread, though. This thing is worth more than my 900-card cube. I'd assume it's pretty miserable to play against...

Kytheon, Hero of Akros Gideon, Battle-Forged Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Jace, Telepath Unbound Liliana, Heretical Healer Liliana, Defiant Necromancer Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh Chandra, Roaring Flame Nissa, Vastwood Seer Nissa, Sage Animist Images for reference. I have only run Jace in enough...

    Card/Deck Dusk / Dawn

The translation is spot on, name included. I also like the concept and hate the frame. The art is totally squished and it highlights the bad formatting (lack/asymmetry of padding) in text boxes. Am I the only one who liked the tombstone icon?

    General CBS

I was doubting the 37.5%, and counted 40.3% (29/72) ._. Things I like: The amount of non-basics Tempo looks good (though has a glut at 3-mana) Things I don't like: The amount of planeswalkers High curve. Ramp seems mandatory. Synergies are too sparse to explore. Midrange vs midrange...

If only it was a pile of garbage, it's a pile of good stuff! But seriously, is it that bad? It runs many interesting cards, though the curve is super midrange.

General Decks Not Cards--Synergy and Power Design

I think the enablers/payoff framework is a good way to think about archetypes, it works for many cases. The most important lesson I've learned about archetypes is that you need to run mostly payoffs that are not too scaled to the archetype. It's a weird phrase, but let me give an example...

    Jovial's "Borrowed" Cube(s)

Look, I don't know what you mean by "archetypes are well defined", but I had no clue about what was going on in two drafts, then read through your introduction, went back and still can't really see how those archetypes would work. Black is a mess of unplayable ramp into unplayable...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I'm going to break a Riptide rule and spin-off an appropriate thread - I was about to post 40 cards on a Single Card Spotlight thread. I will be awaiting my ban. Meanwhile, check this: http://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/adapting-morph-to-cubes.1730/

    General Adapting Morph to cubes

Morphs are a cool mechanic and many people would like to run them in their cubes. Myself included, I find the bluffing mechanics fun and skill intensive. The problem with morphs is how bad Gray Ogres are compared to other creatures in cube. Just pretend you played a vanilla 2/2 on turns 3 and...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I was thinking that yesterday, I want to have a morph module, but grey ogres are too bad. I was actually considering errataing morph to 2 mana 2/2, do you think that could break it? Even 2 mana 1/1 sounds better than 3 mana 2/2.
