The thing to consider here is that the Primatics are pickable for every player, which is a big deal in the draft portion. It also forces you to get a :(basic land:( that can't pay your other colored costs. I think that's a pretty good trade off. It can also get a Wastes for any Eldrazi lovers...

I suppose so, but at least the MH sets are labelled with the format name. I mentally lump UB stuff together, so it's kind of weird to see them spread around different formats. I keep an eye on those formats, but don't play them, so it doesn't actually affect me, at least. Cube is so great.

There's so many stupid little variants. Golem or Goblin vs their Phyrexian counterpart. The issue is the different planes and themes and flavor. They can't have Young Pyromancer make a 1/1 Goblin. They could have designed "Young Gobbomancer," but they didn't. You can't make a Spirit with a KLD...

Snow Wastes could be a cool way to get snow into the basic box without giving everyone full access to snow lands. Having to take a colorless basic is a cost.

It's an ETB scry 2 with three toughness, which blocks more early threats, and a super high ceiling. I think it's cool. Hell, that Jace is no slouch, either. I think those are a cool way to spice up all but the higher power formats.

It is an it isn't. Increasing Domain to 6 is a real consideration. I was thinking that maybe the Desolate cycle should be. "T: Add C. T, Sac: search for land type tapped." A monocolored slow fetch seems a lot better than the current design.

I actually think that running Verdant Catacombs and Plateau is a great strategy if you're my opponent.
