    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I would assume the usual suspects are pretty good.

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

Some potential good fits for you might include: Incubation Druid A good way to help convert mana from your 1-mana dorks into enough mana to cast the big things like Thorn Mammoth. If you want to support a deck that ramps past 5 or so mana, it's beneficial to have these sorts of cards that can...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

This is a card that makes Johnny-minded players happy but causes them to lose Cube matches through tempo loss. This card is only good in very slow, very low-power environments where sacrificing a reasonably large creature isn't going to necessarily swing the game too much.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

It's good, but it's far from stupid. It's a good midrange value engine that helps to showcase any potential land shenanigans you might be supporting. I think if you compare this to another fair card like Primordial Mist you can kind of see how Felidar Retreat isn't necessarily stupid.

Man, it's almost like the base rate for creatures has improved over time!

I don't really see how this is pushed. It's a bear with two-mana firebreathing. Sure it can give other gobbos a boost if they exist on the board which is nice, but I don't see that advantage being too big. I think the card looks decent, certainly good at lower power levels, but I think in 2021...

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

You get to block with it and attack with it at least once, plus you get to draw 7! Is that really not enough?

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

You and your creatures represent a Party, and you Venture in together. So when you only have Fifty Feet of Rope, that just means you're playing a Solo Campaign like in this Stephen Colbert adventure!

Think smaller! Play this with a sacrifice outlet like Viscera Seer or Goblin Bombardment, activate the {B}{B}{B} ability to draw 7, and while the Trigger is on the stack sacrifice this to the outlet. Since this card disappears before the draw 7 resolves, you never exile them!

    Card/Deck Tutor for a Tutor...

Stoneforge Mystic Ranger-Captain of Eos Recruiter of the Guard I'm mostly running these cards as a value plays for White decks. White doens't really get a lot of ways to generate hard card advantage, which is totally fine for 1V1 Magic, but I really like it when players have lots of options...

This is a testing/includes thread. Post pictures or a text list using /c with what cards you plan to include and what cards you plan to test. Including: (I really hate the art on Power Word Kill, so I may end up not including it in the end, but it is good enough to be worth inclusion in my...

God Damn WOTC making crappy D&D cards and forcing me to re-name my Minecraft customs.

I thought writing my top 10 article for this set was going to be difficult given how many truly great cards there are, turns out there are actually quite a few cards I was able to talk about and I was never grasping for any straws. This set isn't great, but it's actually not bad either.

If you support an aggro deck I'm partial to: Rakdos Cackler It's a nice little 1-drop that can be a great damage source in both aggressive Red and Black decks.

I may have needed more Smelt type effects and fewer Burst Lightnings in order to keep the artifact-based hate in check. Embereth Shieldbreaker may have been a good option because it is two spells for the price of one card. I think Tinder Wall allowing for an "oops, I did my storm on my first...

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

I'm not sold on needing 1WWW (including a colorless land) in order to try this "combo." It seems very janky except for the 1% of the time it actually works, in which case it's just annoying. This exceeds Chain of Smog levels of gimmicky.
