    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Juri, master of the revue Anyone ever tested this guy? Mayhem Devil is a tad too explosive for my cube, so I am looking for the next best payoff and I like that this guy works with fetches and artifacts that sac themselves. Also, decent target for equipment, right?

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I like the card quite a bit. The main reason I don't run it is, that I dislike removal spells, that are only for aggressive or, like in this case, only for defensive decks. The advantages of keeping your removal that flexible is, that you need to spend less slots on it and it is easier to track...

    General Edict Effects in Cube

This isn't wrong, but cube is still a custom format. So it would maybe be interesting to find out, what determines if edicts are good or bad in a given cube. • Of course (small) tokens make them worse. • Low creature mana value curves do as well. • Also creatures that like to be sacrificed. •...

I think Reckless Impulse is much better than Rob the Archives honestly. Being able to actually play both cardsthe vast majority of time seems crucial to me. And sure, exiling 4 is strong, but how often are you capable of even casting more than one, even in the late game, after that 2 mana you...

    General Edict Effects in Cube

Yeah, that's true. Sadly, tokens are so commonplace these days, in my cube at least but I think in other's as well. Go tall strategies like bogles however aren't beloved for a reason. I still like edicts, I think they're a cool part of black's identity and I will try to keep some. I've found...

    General Edict Effects in Cube

Diabolic Edict I've learned to love edict effects before I even knew about cube, through formats like legacy and pauper. So I've always progressed with the assumption, that cards like Diabolic Edict are powerful interaction spells, and I've been cubing them since the very beginning pf my cube...

Man, Killer Service is a cool one. It's very straight forward, but offers some extra synergies.

The CCC got a nice little red mana rock I wanted for wildfire decks for quite some time now, a mediocre black enchantment removal spell (you gotta take what you can get in that department) and an interesting blue combat trick that works with artifacts and still needs a cut somewhere for testing...

Is this finally a cube-worthy version of this effect? Being able to 2-for-1 any opponent attacking you with a 3/4 or smaller just by having a mana rock in play gives this some legs in more controlling builds. While still being nice with ninjas.

    General Fight Club

I am looking for a cut in red for the new Glittering Stockpile and I've come down to three candidates for the axe. Cathartic Reunion I have a strong madness (and a reanimator) theme, but this is probably the rummage effect I like the least in my list. It's sorcery speed and loses games to...

Screw them, they seem to be more okay these days with super obvious, direct power creeping even on recent cards. I'll stick with priest, it has been clearly good enough for my cube.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I've never seen this one in any cube, despite being what seems like to be a awesome top end. Regal Force I do even have a mono color theme and the mono or heavy green decks are usually ramping quite a bit. I think this would easily draw 3-4 cards on average. The question is, is this what you...

Make it cost 3 and I'm cubing it as a baseline fireshrieker that gets better with equipment.

But Stockpile is miles better in many ways? And the red in the casting cost makes it more likely to end up with the Wildfire drafter.

For months I've wanted a red mana rock that supports wildfire decks. This is everything I could've asked for. Thanks, Wizards.

This connives on etb and on death it gives -X/-X to an opposing creature, where X is it's power. This seems like a discard outlet with a lot of general value. This creates a tapped 2/2 on death, and the second ability is Blitz. So if I understand this fully, I can cast this as a 4/4 haste...

On etb, this either destroys an artifact, destroys an enchantment, exile a card from a graveyard or gains 4 life. I think I might cube this. It's so flexible!

Chief of the Forge {2}{B}{R} Creature — Human Warrior Whenever you sacrifice one or more other creatures, the Forge Chief deals 2 damage to each opponent. This ability only triggers once per turn. 3/4 I wish it said "permanents". Still, could this just be a great signpost for lower powered cubes?
