Not a fan of either TBH. I tried the Avaricious Dragon for a while, but lots of cube decks aren't ready to discard their hand by T4. You'd ahve to be running incredibly low to the ground sligh for it to be consistently castable on T4 without losing at least something. The other one, I'm just...

    Card/Deck Elite Equipments

really? Interesting. In all my testing, it is quite problematic for an opponent. Moveable lifelink is a powerful tool. What equipment would you run over it in a rando deck?

    Sigh, again?

I trialed a modified deck based on a more grindy approach, using many of the land-engine elements. the hope was to flush out a deck that built up a base of defensive creatures while powering out bears/cats and finishing with a blast from Jolrael. The issue really came down to a lack of hard...

Canyon Jerboa is straight gas. In fetchland environments it's almost always a glorious anthem and fairly consistently a dictate of heliod. I like it quite a bit more than the classic soltari champion and friends Totally forgot about Tatyova. A perfect fit for my UG theme.

    Sigh, again?

I hadn't considered her overly much, but that's not to say I shouldn't. She is a uniquely UG or RUG style of green card. One thing I'm not sure I like much is that her second ability changes power and toughness directly, rather than giving +X/+X. That makes the ability non-synergistic with...

    General Self-Sufficient Tribal Payoffs

if you have a Big Ramp deck, I see no reason why not. There are incidental elves that would end up being in the same deck (arbor elf etc.), so it probably would have some secondary value.

skycat sovereign just watch out! It can get pretty snowball-y. Maybe a better include if you don't have a large flying component to UW.

    Sigh, again?

skycat sovereign This card is officially on the watch list! It can spiral ridiculously quickly. It' pairs absurdly well with empyrean eagle, which gives it +2/+2, and it can turn a 4 damage swing into 9 on it's own. Potentially keeping it out due to the fact that it is both self-contained and...

{U}{G} Fast Ramp-Tempo Green's turn in the deck blender. With this simic deck I want to start flushing out my land-ramp package, emphasizing lands in the color over ultra-fast creature ramp. I plan to only use 1-mana dorks that directly point to an archetype pairing, namely avacyn's pilgrim...

    Sets (ZNR) Zendikar Rising Testing/Includes

Just want to say after solitairing some games that luminarch aspirant truly is the bees knees. By itself it attacks as a 2 mana 3/3, which is awesome, but paired with a flier or double striker and it just goes ham. Also has perfect synergy with vesperlark can be searched up with recruiter of the...

{U} {B} Graveyard-control Gameplan: Now we are getting into the meat of the GY cube. Where the UW Fliers deck might touch on the GY with something like a flashback spell or a recursive creature, this deck really digs into the meat of utilizing the GY to lay out a controlling deck plan...

    General CBS

I guess what are you looking to gain from running payoffs like that? Would a functioning elves archetype improve GB over everything else it could be doing? None of the above are particularly compelling besides maybe Imperious Perfect, which can operate on it's own as a 2/2 elf factory. My cube...

    Sigh, again?

Whew.. what a slog. I'm sure I'll be going back over all those sets and more as I go along, but at least I have a little bit of a mental map of what there is out there, as well as the above brainstorms of potential candidates. Next up, I'll build out some decks for the various archetypes I...

If Garruk Wildspeaker isn't quite getting there in "punch factor", his older self might help a bit more? The pump on the +1 really helps with the consistency of being able to push through. garruk, unleashed Not an effect that grants trample, but the repeatability of being able to boost a...
