Is this a case of like... it's fun to draft and build a deck around, but you aren't asking the question to people not drafting the card (AKA facing it during play)? That's pretty much my/my groups experience with it. Really cool card to base a deck around. Absolutely anti-climactic and miserable...

that's only a copy of a creature, right? the new one copies any permanent. I also personally like the new art a lot. Very vibrant and more abstract.

yeah really like it. solid aura with a non-negligible GY-casting condition that helps keep it more fair.

I think I saw it here, but making that "mages" slot a "take-an-option" slot could work out pretty good. Pick from the 4 the one that you want for your deck most. Makes the slot a lot more flexible without increasing the power level of the card during play.

For Nanonox, Teshar might be a good consideration, as there are tons of historic triggers and recursion targets (including Heliod!)

yeah Midrange is usually on the third angle of the magic card spectrum: "the power of fire". It's spells are just powerful, period. Big beefy creatures, impactful planeswalkers, etc.

problem is the racism doesn't have to be intentional to be explicit and therefore harmful and dangerous. The image creator could have the best intentions in the world. Systemic, overt, subtle, etc. it's still racism. And once it's out there, it can be used by people with overtly bad intentions.

I don't know much about the situation involving her, but if true I would say it's technically been distasteful for a long time now. I suppose excluding it would raise fewer eyebrows now that WotC has taken some sort of stance.

Immolation shaman seems like it doesn't punish too hard, but is a legit aggressive threat in that kind of format.
