You can play Seven Wonders in teams and it's really good that way, but it's full communication and you can show each other your hands. You also draft face up in that game so signals are less of a thing.

I like Expedition Map a fair bit, it's good with the ULD when it can fetch things specific lands like Tolarian Academy. Even then it's on the lower power end, the land you're getting needs to be really good to justify the 3 mana spent to get it. I wouldn't play it just to fix. Maybe Sylvan...

The 5/4 wasn't that bad for me, the one that I struggled with was the ballista that pings when it attacks. I did beat Skysovereign in two games, that is a very scary card to face down.

Oviya also counts all creatures, not just tokens, so if you top deck her on a board with 2-3 creatures out she's already making relevant sized bodies. Having said that I've never played with Rhys so I'm not sure how they'd stack up. I don't think she's quite this bad but it's the same kind...

In Kaladesh sealed, yeah, pretty much. In any sort of board stall either your opponent kills her and they get to keep playing or they don't and they lose, and it'll take several turns until they actually die. I held my removal to pick off any fliers and then started churning out tokens that grow...

I won a lot of games off of casting Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter and then activating the 5 mana ability every turn for the rest of the game instead of casting any cards from hand. I opened a Durable Handicraft and was a bit unsure about it, but when I tried it out it worked a lot better...

    General Too Many Lands

Dual lands are not gold cards when you pair them with the appropriate fetches. Plateau in a W/B deck makes your Blood Crypt into a W/B land, and I'd play it 100% of the time even if I had no red unless I knew my opponent was on mono-wastelands.

    General Too Many Lands

For a less facetious answer, I like having drafts with lots of fixing for a few reasons. Number 1: I think better fixing leads to better games. Mana screw or flood is difficult to control without making fairly drastic changes, but colour screw can be worked around by providing the tools to...

    General Too Many Lands

In a typical cube draft deck, you'll play 23 spells and 17 lands. That means your deck is going to be 42.5% land. Therefore if you're not playing at least 42.5% lands in your cube total, you're not running enough lands. That's just maths!

I don't think any of the Scars block draft formats were "good" due to many insane 6 mana rare bombs and the problems that infect caused, but man, I loved it for some reason, especially Scars/Besieged.
