I think radiant depends on what you want out of the format since it by definition of the rules caps out at 3. As far as I know it caps out at 3 since you can't spend mana when it's done and payed.

The rally decks I've seen seem to function like a combo variant of the other abzan midrange decks, so you have some early value guys and a couple of good blockers to get you up to 4 mana to land a midrange fatty (here, it's the standard behemoth Siege Rhino) to stabilize for the critical 6-7...

Someone wanna post sample decklists for attrition and aggressive lists using the 3-4 cmc discard spells?

I mean, path to exile giving your opponent a land is a draw back sometimes but really it's still more or less uncondicial removal for one mana. Thoughtseize hurts but it still can win you the game turn one.
