I like that some limited formats have almost 0 fixing. And I like that some have a lot. Variety! :) Most common lands are useless outside their own limited set so it doesn’t really matter what they do with them. They only have to think about making the set fun to draft.

But Onde there are miles between a tapped dual land that gives you one poison counter per activation to Cloudcrest Lake. People would both pick and play the tapped poison lands if they were in the current All Will be One Magic set because fixing is almost 0 in that set. My whole point is that...

We are both talking about power levels of the card and not literally. Wizards could actually put them on tapped dual lands in this set. Since the set doesn’t have any dual lands outside the rare slot people would still pick them for their mana fixing. Tapped duals are not super bad in limited...

How long does it go until you have to read Drake?

You actually can have it ETB tapped in a limited environment. If the players need fixing enough, they would still use them.

If this card was from a story-bound set with a beautiful art, I would be all over it. But as is I personally don’t want it in my cube. So many of the playtest cards are super cool

@TrainmasterGT I agree with most things you say. It could end up being a cycle but I hope not. My Azorius control deck would be too overpowered to face! :P

It’s not a cycle though. Just a card. They specifically chose Gruul to get a ABUR dual land with almost no downside because in Gruul giving life points away is a downside. Imagine one of these in Azorius :P

Most of the dragons are nice and you can even run a low-power dragon tribal to (Onderzee)boot.

My starter set is very, very low power and I like cards like this. I don’t run all these because the Naga ended up being a Disenchant I didn’t want for early tournament games and the 7 mana bomb is actually not impressive even in low power. Please try out the other two.

@LadyMapi I wholeheartedly agere with everything you wrote. On the part about who thought what when: There was also Phyrexia in the 90th. Back then people thought they couldn’t Phyrexianize buildings. It was actually in the early 90th. So I am not referring to Scars of Mirrodin.
