Custom Cards part 1: Blue Cantrips
So here's the deal.
Over Christmas, I'm hoping to do a special cube draft. I want to have all my closest friends there (including a couple who I still have to teach magic, but have agreed to learn ), and I'm going to have a bunch of customs. Some of...
Princess Royals
The Throne of Eldraine Update.
History of the Locomotive
The Princess Royal Class of Steam Locomotive are a series of engines designed by famed mechanist Sir William Stanier for the London, Midland, Scotland Railway. These 4-6-2 Locomotives were built to handle express...
I think Bag of Holding is a better card than key. The only reasons I can see running the Key to the City over the Bag is if you:
-Want a free discard outlet
-Want a way to push through late game damage
-Specifically need the cards in the graveyard
Otherwise, I think bag is better.
Nissa, Who Shakes the World is a better option in my opinion. Her ultimate is worse, she makes smaller tokens, but she enables better ramping. She also has interaction with +1/+1 counters cards.
I like Deathreap Ritual because it churns through fewer cards while still providing good value. Unless you're trying to enable combo sacrifice shenanigans, you're probably better off with the ritual.
That is, unfortunately, correct.
Luckily, since these are basically glorified proxies anyways, you can use MSE, MTG.Design, or MTGCardsmith to make your own mock-ups that look like real magic cards!
Ok, this is really interesting:
It's a split card which uses halves from two different split cards that already exist (Start // Finish and Fire // Ice. I thought this was probably possible for a real card, but now I think it definitely is in the cards for a future set!
I figured out the issue- the "Beleren" font and one other font weren't actually included with the download I got for templates. I installed them to the Windows XP emulator I'm using and now everything works fine. I'll show some designs at a later date...
Massacre is only free if two very specific conditions are met. I'd hardly call that too good.
I think once is only too powerful in the context of some constructed formats. It's perfectly reasonable in Cube and EDH.
I was wondering if you guys could help me with some MSE troubleshooting.
I just downloaded MSE on my Mac using Winebottler to run the program. I have everything working except the MTG fonts. Instead of Magic fonts, MSE is just using what appears to be either Arial or Tahoma. Does anyone know...
I have no experience with Kjeldon Outpost, but I don't think it's too powerful by today's standards. Sacrificing a land is a real cost for that sort of effect, but 2 mana for one token is very reasonable.
Caribou Range is super weak, stay away.
Recruit the Worthy is expensive when being...
Update: The mad men banned Leyline of Abundance because they "think Nykthos could help add future diversity to the format."
There goes my 3 dollars ...
Also, Felidar Guardian and Oath of Nissa got banned too. I still want a Teferi ban, but there's always next week!
