I am looking for a cool azorius card that makes {W} a tenpting splash for a {U} or more often {U}{B} control deck. I thought of Drogskol Reaver, but so far couldn't get a copy and I was wondering if I couldn't find something better and/or cheaper.

After a great core set and the incredible Eldrain, Theros 2 is a bit of a flop for me. But that is okay, gives me time to analyze all the new 2019 cards and by now it has become super difficult to get into my cube for new cards that don't fulfill very specific needs, like being the 3rd Wild...

Whisperer seems much more fair, which is a plus for me, but still great in the right deck and far from narrow. Sovereign looks more crazy, but it is also more pushed. If that fits yourpower level I'd vote for the fancier card.

Occultist is roch solid, I'm definitely not cutting it for the Ravager. It's a 3-drop playable in any remotely aggressive red deck, but also has a cheap madness cost, making it just the right mix of generally playable and archetype-supporting.

Well, Anje's Ravager has several upsides over the phoenix for this deck: - it costs only one red mana, really nice for a two-colored aggro deck. - it's cheaper to cast when discarded and doesn't need a full graveyard for coming back early. - it's less of a value, goodstuff card but a synergistic...

Anje's Ravager Would this card be okay in a lower powerd cube like mine? It seems like it could go crazy sometime, but maybe the drawbacks are enough to make it fair. Being an enabler and a payoff for madness aggro is a big deal, and te deck could use a slightly pushed 3-drop.

I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping for some nice escape cards in red and green that are worthy for madness aggro, but I don't find a single one. And the black devotion cards also aren't really interesting. In the end I'm jamming Mire Triton and testing Slaughter-Priest of Mogis and that's it :/

Whenever you sacrifice a permanent, Slaughter-Priest of Mogis gets +2/+0 until the end of turn. {1}, Sacrifice a creature or enchantment: Slaughter-Priest of Mogis gets first strike until end of turn. I think I really like this card, it can get huge and hit heavy. Just not sure I like it more...

Tzey should have had no mana cost instead of this akward pseudo evoke. That way they wouldn't only be more elegant but also not contribute to the devotion of the gods, which they oppose after all. And it would invoke even more escspe flavor.

Depends on your point of view more than anything else. There could be too much fixing ... ... to have monocolored decks be good, cause there are too many lands and too strong multicolored decks ... so it occupies unneccesarily many slots you'd prefer for other cool tools ... so gold cards lose...

On a serious note, I think I give this price to these guys for there usefulness in naya colored decks: Blood Artist Falkenrath Noble

I run desperately a Returned Reveler because I wanted another cheap Dredge enabler with a body in Black. Now we're going back to Theros and I can finally retire the Satyr Zombie for the Triton Zombie. This one is also sweet for my {w/b} lifegain aggro and can trade with much bigger things...

I liked Alpha, not the best set ever, but I have still a bunch of cardsfrom that set in my cube.

I've always been impressed with Arc Lightning. The flexibility is key, you can either bolt something or arc trail somethings, or even kill 3 creatures with one spell.
