1/1 are quite a bit better than 0/1, although it might not matter too much in a sacrifice deck. But a (splashable) 4/3 for 4 seems also to be better suited for this job than a 2/2, since it is harder to kill. Upside of Pawn is, that it still gives you a token when it dies. I still think, Sifter...

Both far too powerful for my Cube, that's for sure Gruul never really gets a focused theme sadly, and Simic is a pretty narrow +1/+1 counters thing, which adapts badly to cubes blue sections. So, I'm not too hopeful :D

It's not the same, more like bouncing two lands, of which one was EtB. And in the six years I'm running both, it hasn't happened once in the early game. Like, who cares all that much about it turn 7?

Boomerang is also pretty nifty in a meta with trilands and especially bounce lands!
