Why does Dawnsteed, a card that has steed in the name and shows a pegasus in the art, creature type bird instead of pegasus?

Tough call, maybe you're right though. It does make the wording a bit more grokkable as well (no more "one or more"), if you template it off Fairgrounds Trumpeter :)

Thanks! And good question. I've gone back and forth between thinking it shouldn't be able to sacrifice itself, and thinking it should always sac itself. In the end I went with the cleanest, shortest wording, and put no additional restrictions on the ability. I haven't tested the card extensively...
