I play it in my cube, but I've never seen it come down on turn 3. The lack of trample makes it fair, and it's a nice recursive threat in dedicated decks.

Yeah, it's pretty good :) I do like how it plays so far though. Turns out a 5 mana wrath is well, a 5 mana wrath, and a 5 mana zombify is pretty underpowered. They do combine very well to make a spell that's almost always desirable.

I run Crux of Fate at the moment, and there simply isn't any other black 5 cmc wrath effect that unconditionally destroys every creature with a small bonus. I don't run any 4 cmc wraths on purpose, so Damnation is out, and the 6 cmc options aren't really enticing plus a bit too slow. Really...
