Is... is this reasonable in green ramp strategies? I can imagine this goes pretty well together with Life from the Loam, but how many additional lands are you realistically playing off of a turn 3 Explore in normal decks?

A 2/4 flying is not useless, but this definitely is the most feast or famine Ascend design we've seen so far. Super good effect once you get the city's blessing!

Oh boy! First strike When ~ etb, exile target instant or sorcery card in an opponent's graveyard. You may cast it this turn and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast that spell. If that spell would go into a greveyard, exile it instead. That looks really cool...

Well... If you know ascend is in the cube, you know it might get turned on when your opponent nears 10 permanents. Also, so far the effects seem feast or famine than miracle. Unlike miracle, I don't expect ascend to be a shitty mechanic to be on the receiving end.

Looks like a tremendous upside on a mediocre body. I will keep the red Gearhulk for its artifact synergies, but this looks pretty sweet. Fun to play with as well.

I aim for games where both players are having fun. Also, I don't actually like playing with Plow Under, it makes me feel dirty. But to each their own. If your group enjoys the card, my feelings about the card are obviously not a reason to cut it ;)

Yes it looks kinda silly, but it's still relevant. The 8 toughness means it doesn't die to Grasp of Darkness and other silly -X/-X effects as easily. Also, it's a freaking huge dragon, the stats are completely appropriate. I don't mind it at all honestly.

Yeah, Elenda looks like a fun build around me card. And at mythic too! You'ld almost expect something pushed beyond silly, but this looks very reasonable. At eight mana, I think indestructible is fair game.

I was about to post the same. That card is heart wrenching, utterly demoralizing, and never fun to play against.
