    General Custom Cards: The Lab

No. It’s a replacement effect that doesn’t use the stack. You simply have to choose which card you want to draw when you’re drawing. The random card from the top or the card with dredge from your graveyard.

No doubt the Archer is better in combat since it’s more likely to commit some damage before the blockers grow too big but the difference between 1 and 2 damage per spell is quite drastic. I would say the difference between Instant/Sorcery and Non-creature is the only real upside for the Archer...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Obviously not okay for constructed if the past has taught us anything. But for cube it might be fine but super boring. It could lead to some very similiar turns and games. How much GY-interaction do you have? Will this card end up in the yard almost all the time? Will it feed the grave (Yes...

Was that the foreboded 30’th tournament? Sorry for being off topic (but) could you share a few thoughts on how you feel your format has developed from your first tournament to the 10’th to the 20’th to the 30’th?

Basking was an all-star in the UG Madness deck that we saw in Standard during Odyssey-Onslaught. However the Madness part was quite important. It’s super difficult to block in the early turns because no 1 drop and almost no 2 drop can do anything about a 3/3. However attacking with mana open...

Are these for low-powered cubes? I like them both but don’t see them in any Riptide cube unless we’re low powered. I might be wrong. Enlighten me :)

    General Three-Player Formats

Thank you RavenbornMuse. This conversation was not a pleasent experience for me so I hope people are satisfied with the feedback from our two-hour evening Treasure gaming (Danish time zone).

    General Three-Player Formats

I dislike arguying with a person who is demeaning and uses aggressive sarcasm to ‘win’ at any cost but instead of fighting it I decided to do something about it. I invited two friends over and we played the Treasure format. It was as exhilarating as expected and the political part of...

    General Three-Player Formats

It was a suggestion. Not a finished product with my ‘quality stamp’ on it. Just an idea. If no one wants to test the idea, fine by me :) I have limited time for Magic and when I play Magic it is merely as a host of either a 8-man draft or 16-man draft. We are never fewer players. Do you want...

    General Three-Player Formats

Or you could test it and get back to us :) No need to impose your work load onto my shoulders unless you are not capable of completing your own assignment :) Edit: Please notice the smileys :) This means I am not irritated but I just do not have the time to test out if my suggestion would be...

    General Three-Player Formats

Being aggressive is not = strong position. Not always. Also in multiplayer formats like Commander and these 3-player games there will always be politics and the player who seem ahead will suddenly face two enemies who work together.

I guess it depends on how you build your cube. If the random blowouts are simply based on luck draws then I would not have them. They would feel unfair. If the blowouts are less random and more skill-based with a lot of Miracle support then I would say thumbs up for them. As with many...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I guess like all other reanimator questions it depends on which reanimator cards you use and how fast they can complete their quest of bringing a bomb to the battlefield. And of course it also depends on the general state of the remaining cards in your cube. Example: In a non-powered and slow...

    General Ixlan Spoiler

Well honestly there’s nothing wrong with a ‘weaker this or that’ as long as your format doesn’t stomp on the card. There’s a format for every card ;)

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

That’s exactly what I use him for. He is, like Grisel, quite game-ending but he’s far more interesting because tutoring makes for better cube experiences (if you ask me) and he doesn’t have lifelink so he doesn’t protect you as well as Grisel.

    General Ixlan Spoiler

My guess for Rivals of Ixalan: Our characters will find Orazca, the City of Gold. It will be a meld card where you need four cards to assemble the transform land. The backside of the enlarged land will create a token artifact named Immortal Sun which will be super strong and will easily win you...
