Cool! Never thought of that one.

I will admit those are way better returns than I thought it'd give you, but T2 mana severance yoink my library is pretty optimistic. As mentioned above, splash colors, utility lands and not having enough lands to top your curve out in your opener all complicate that use case. Out of curiosity...

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

Okay, I'm gonna spitball some ideas for white. I've grown a bit resentful of fencing ace: He's only a bit better than goblin piker if you don't have any synergy going on, but I'm finding the upside of your 2 drop swinging for 4-8 on turn 3 is a bit swingy. Even in limiting myself to only small...

For what though? Is improving your future draws a bit really worth a whole card?

    Yes, Virginia, Skype is malware

Interesting! I don't really talk in the RiptideLab skype group, but finding a replacement video calling software might be in order now.

If there was ever a card that needed a mana off and -1/-1, that was it

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

It's essentially flux, which is pretty shit, but then again... Maybe cycling RR? I dunno, this gets way weirder when you have to start planning around legacy dredge. R1 is probably fine in cube

    General Card design theory

I think bootman is on to something here. Pillar of flame has been solid in my cube, and yamabushi's flame was a crowd favorite in my old old cube. (Carbonize is a little cute) I think the reason for "can't be regenerated" dropping off is for whatever reason, new players just don't understand...

Oh I thought the artifact in question was Chalice of Life, not Elixir of Immortality

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

I hadn't actually found spirit keeper to be that good, and was contemplating going back to double blade splicer (the boring, if powerful choice) How has your experience been lucas?

Wildfire makes being a 3/5 great :D I've got it at 5, but it's been nice. Mulldrifter is better though

Eh, probably. CML's here after all :P

Standard sideboard play, and is was pretty aweful sideboard play. For those youngins who don't remember kamigawa standard, this was the combo one with nothing was brought in to counter: Howling Mine Ebony Owl Netsuke Dat Tech

Card/Deck What mana sinks are you running in your cubes?

Okay sure, but the whole "having to play it before everything" still sucks :P Despite the increased number of synergistic cards, I still think runechanter's pike is better

I find it's either Moat level boring or kills you. Strong card, swingy, but a bit all or nothing for my tastes

So what you're saying is when hornet queen sits around the house, she really sits around the house?

    Skype is malware?
  19. Chris Taylor

Card/Deck What mana sinks are you running in your cubes?

I will say, having to play scroll before all the instants and sorceries, and still having to pay mana later really turned me off it

Perhaps a better comparison is chimney imp instead, though he's hella old at this point :P And to it's credit, Battle of Wits is still hugely popular...in other formats. Mudhole and One with Nothing have no such luxury :P What I'm trying to say here is I think things are on the up and up...
