There once was a prophet from Hanweir Who turned his lands into thin air His methods were mad But there's much to be said For more gas in your 3D square I'm having fun :)

Who are these coming to the sacrifice? To what brown altar, O mysterious priest, Lead'st thou that mana clawing at the prize, And all her battlefields with manlands dressed? What little cube by forest or sea shore, Or mountain-built with peaceful citadel, Is emptied of real cards, this...

Ooooo! Since I Left You is a classic! Frontier Psychiatrist is still one of my favorite songs from that era, but the whole album is class, definitely going to give Wildflower a listen, and if it's as good a SILY, it can go straight into my saved albums list in Spotify :)

There once was a woman from Dixon Who knew the importance of fixing With a disciplined heart She picked every land card But the twelve nonlands win is pure fiction

On the one hand this looks fantastic, on the other hand I'm wondering if the tape is visible from the back of the card. That would be bad (on principle, regardless of whether there are cheaters in your group, don't play with cheaters folks!)

It gets consistently drafted in my cube, and I have seen it cast multiple times. Card is awesome!

How is it disengaging? It may look like super fixing, but in reality, people don't often go for three color picks, because it's much safer to build a two color deck. Adding the free triland actually accomplishes people to not only draft the three color cards, but also ensures people are actively...

Alright, I'll bite. There once was a man from Toscana Who failed to draft the right mana His spells went uncast And his dreams turned real fast Into a fata morgana Nope. There's no longer an exiled card. This works the same as, for example, Isochron Scepter. See...

/ignores Rasmus's boring, rational question :P I have just thought of the perfectest, awesomest fixing land for all of you! This is mana fixing that encourages sticking to two colors, that can be used by aggro decks and control decks alike, and that even has cool "It's coming!" rattlesnake...

I can tell from experience that most casual players (not to be confused with players of casual formats) don't subscribe to this enthusiasm. At. All. I wasn't lying when I said people had been complaining about the amount of fixing in my cube. He may be mad, but I totally agree with the Prophet's...

It's the nature of the beast, honestly, humankind is conservative by nature. People feel comfortable when maintaining the status quo, when sticking to things they know. Most humans get antsy when confronted with change, with the unknown.

You are confusing unreasonable with unorthodox. I am actually doing this in my cube for the 10 three-color cards I run, and it works like a charm! My problem was not that people were taking lands early in the draft, it was that they were complaining there were too many lands. It's not at all...

If you run only a select few gold cards, give free mana fixing of a corresponding color when you draft that card. Bam! Problem solved! You make drafting gold cards less burdensome, and you free up space for real cards, for whatever definition of real you like. For the lands, you can either give...

Pushing all your wrath effect up to 5+ mana should help a lot. In my cube I just pushed all mana rocks to 3+ and all wrath effects to 5+. This makes the mana rocks more of a tool for control decks that want to reach the end game quicker, and less of a tool for midrange to just start pumping out...

    General Too Many Lands

To add something more than a one-liner, I have actually had complaints from my drafters in the past that they felt there were too many mana fixing lands in the cube. I cut back on fixing in the main cube for that very reason. The way I solved the problem is twofold. First, I only support five...

I realized I forgot my favorite... uhm... what genre is this... melodic noise? Anyway, Bromst, by Dan Deacon. How to describe this music? It's a strangely soothing, explosively calm structured mess. Yes, I think that comes close... And to top it off, guy has some absolutely baller videos as...

Vintage cube is so hilarious. Game 1 (on the play) T1: Island, Mana Crypt, Sword of Fire and Ice. T2: Volcanic Island, Venser, Shaper Savant (bounce opponent's only land). T3: Mountain, Chandra's Phoenix, equip Sword, attack for 6, draw a card. T4: Island, Opposition, attack for 6, draw a card...
