I just find Karn to be a slow and tedious way to win a game. God forbid that you use his ultimate.

I don't find Karn particularly fun, so I took him out.

Nicol Bolas in particular is pretty easy to cast. It isn't too difficult to get your color requirements in order by the time you have eight mana. I think of it more as a {B}{U/R} card than a true 3-color card.

I think the distribution is very similar. Bananagrams has more tiles since each player has their own "board," but I imagine it would work fine if you only have a few players.

Scrabble is alright. I'd usually rather play Bananagrams. It plays much faster and has a more casual atmosphere, which I tend to prefer for word-creation games. I make it a goal to have some sort of inappropriate theme among all my words as the game progresses. The best word-creation game...
