Thanks guys! I think I like Elephant Guide/Boar Umbra more for a straight up aggro deck, but Moldervine Cloak is probably appealing for greater variety of decks. If the +3/+3 for 3 appears to be something really good for my environment, I'm coming back to find a winner between these two!

How would you rank these and why? Elephant Guide Moldervine Cloak Boar Umbra Main purpose is applying pressure as a hasty 3 drop in aggressive decks, but also be good enough to be tempting for more midrange-y stuff.

Despite that being true, is this card maybe just a cubeable solo payoff? Savai Thundermane It is a 3/2 for 2, which is always playable in aggro - and it's in the best aggro colors. And really how many cyclers do you need before this lion becomes good in more modrange-y decks? Maybe four? One...

Had my first encounter with Lurrus in Draft. Incredibly frustrating. He just kept bring him back to bring nack his 2 drops and that annoying drain 2 scorpion.

I'm just leaving some likes here and a short form of my opinion: Companions are the worst mistake in the history of Magic, worse than Affinity and Dredge even. For my Cube, I'd consider them if they were just french vanillas with okay bodies. Like Lurrus without his recursion ability.

I don't think cycling matters still counts as small package. You need a high enough density fir these to naturally end up in decks, abd excluding all looting/rummaging spells and wild mongrels doesn't help exactly.

Exactly. As a hasty 1-drop he usually gets a few hits in or sometimes trades with a 2-drop or etas a removal, but when he survives, he can refill your hand and hopefully give you the reach to close out the game.
