    Sets [DMU] Dominaria United Spoilers

I've seen this take a couple times, and while I agree in theory that I don't like including mechanics that are this similar yet different I'm making an exception for Read Ahead and I think you should too (if you like the cards with the mechanic). The main reason for this is that Read Ahead is...

General Is my signature too lengthy?

This is not a very fun weekly question, Velrun.

    Sets [DMU] Dominaria United Spoilers

This is crazy. The cantrip is reasonable, if about a half-mana overcosted, and the scry 2 makes it a lot better than Growth Spiral when you really need that land drop. Plus it's any land?? I love this card. The off-color kicker cards are killing it this time around.

    Sets [DMU] Dominaria United Spoilers

Mmmm More cheaper = more gooder applies to the body, but the fact that Maw's ability is cheaper also makes a big difference. Maw can also sac itself, can do so multiple times a turn, and doesn't need to untap, so my money is still on the Maw. Aaron is pretty cool, though.

    Sets [DMU] Dominaria United Spoilers

Set seems solid. I have precisely zero interest in Enlist as a mechanic and Read Ahead is an entirely optional mechanic--if you skip over it and play Sagas with Read Ahead like normal Sagas you're not giving up a large amount of equity--but a lot of the card file is playing in some cool space...

    General Defining & Optimizing Complexity

+1 to Inis -1 to marmite Actually, I think that what Humpty_Dumpty mentioned is actually a larger type of complexity: interactive complexity. This complexity doesn't result from one card but rather from having multiple similar cards within a larger set that have similar yet mechanically...

    General Fight Club

Most of the time, Bombardment reads "{1}{R}: win the game when your opponent has fewer life than you do creatures," and that's just not fun for me. At least with the others you either are gated on mana or have to figure out which creatures to sac first, which is far more interesting IMHO as it...

    General Prince Renathal

Alernative formatting to make it a little easier: Prince Vanguardcube Vanguard +10 starting life +10 starting deck size Add 1 Lil' Ren card to your draft pool. Your deck must include 1 Lil' Ren card. (Lil Ren {3} Creature--Human Noble 3/4) Or Prince Renathal, Noble Companion {3}...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Shigeki is good, he acts as glue for a lot of different stuff and can play as exceedingly fair ramp. Note that you can use the first ability to save him during blocks--there's no "only as a sorcery" clause.

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

I don't think that's quite accurate, as the use case for Thromok is mainly in board stalls. You don't want to drop the Wurm when you're behind, as you need multiple blockers (this is all assuming that both decks play to the board, but I think that's a safe assumption for us here). You don't want...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Islandwalk All jokes aside, evasion isn't the whole problem here, and if I was reworking this card I'd give it both trample and hexproof/ward. Part of the dream is making this a 16/16 and beating an opponent to death with that, but evasion is only part of the battle; this can be a 100/100 with...

    General Guess the Card

No, sorry--you know how Un-cards can reference something like the number of words in the name of the card or whether or not a character in the art is wearing a hat but traditional black-border cards can't? One of the clue cards relies on a mechanic that is similarly silver-bordered. Concrete...

    General Guess the Card

Good clarification--"Un-clue" means that the clue is about something that Un-sets care about/something that black-border/non-acorn sets will never reference.

    General Guess the Card

Nope! Hint #1: the card I'm thinking of is a specific printing of a specific card. Hint #2: one of the four cards that is a clue is an Un-clue. (Hint #2.5: this both is and isn't the same clue as clue 1!)

    General Guess the Card

No to both, unfortunately, but I've always liked that card, Onderzeeboot, so thanks for reminding me of it! Hint #1: the card I'm thinking of is a specific printing of a specific card.
