I'm just gonna get ahead of your inevitable black post and show you what I run.
cabal stronghold
crypt of agadeem
phyrexian tower
thriving moor
vivid marsh
I recently cut Witch's Cottage and Castle Locthwain to make room for Eldrazi lands, as I redid my cube, which you can check out and critique...
I think you're gonna have a tough time making that specific two card combination come together, but they're both graveyard focused cards and you could easily make them play into your Rakdos theme. They're both nice 3/3 for threes as well.
Shouted it out because it doesn't have real kicker and pairs with Chalice in a proliferate ramp strategy. I personally am planning to run Relic, but not Cornucopia.
Prohibit, Vicious Offering, Burst Lightning, Everflowing Chalice (shout-out to Astral Cornucopia). I conceptually like Baloth Gorger as a 4/4 with upside if I had a format that had greener decks.
I definitely used to play that conspiracy in the draft and got rid of it quickly for being very powerful, but maybe it's ok when both players have it? I feel like having two hands ALWAYS adds a decision to make and some shuffling or bottoming of cards.
Do you run customs? Might be better off...
Lol I've never had an issue with my group shuffling excessively. Mulligans happen somewhat uncommonly and don't take up that much time when they do.
I assumed your players were taking forever on their mulligan decisions, because I'd never considered "mulligan time" as an issue when matches...
Just make a pile of cards that you haven't refined and play it with the homies. You can only do that a few times before you get too smart for what you're doing and it's an experience you can't get back.
That's actually really funny because I had casually skimmed it and was confused what was so impressive about a super low powered customs cube. Didn't see that insanity. Just saw like a 1/2 for 2 and a 3/3 for 5 that I remember. What a power band!
Alright, I see you run life gain as a theme and you've suggested it here. Can you explain to me how it isn't just a tribal deck where you collect all the cards with the word "life" on them? It seems like a well-supported deck now, but I'm skeptical.
I have no idea for Undead Servant. I haven't played it yet and bought 20 to be safe lol.
This is a limited color wheel because that's how I do things, but maybe my Jumpstarts could provide ideas for themes that are at least somewhat supportable...
Undead ServantFeast of Flesh
I have a bunch of these sitting around to mix up a draft someday. Maybe some collectibles could be useful?
Your request is really open ended. You already know most/all of the cards I know for those themes, so I'm hesitant to make suggestions.
