I would need an almost perfect manabase to play a 2-colour aggro deck. If I want to reliably cast both precinct captain and ash zealot on turn 2 with a deck, I want at least 13 sources of either colour so something like 3 mountains, 3 plains and 10 RW duals that enter untapped

I find this very interesting, since also you seem like you don't want combo decks, which is a thing most cubes without micro-archetypes do. Probably the way I would build a cube like this would be basically by having support for: monocoloured aggro, bi-tri colour midrange, and 4-5 colour...

I absolutely adore that yeti, but sadly snow in cube is hard. Either you run all snow basics (but it feels a bit too tricky) or you end up with an archetype that has to draft lands that in comparison to other archetypes has a disadvantage… sad

Syphon Life is a way to close games in some Life from the Loam decks, it's not the best card to do that but in a mid-low powered cube it can work. Cenn's Enlistment is more of a slow aggro card, but I would play it only if I had some token support

In my cube How to keep an izzet mage busy is an Arcane and it is overpowered with any splice spell so yeah I guess they also fear that any new arcane could make old cards become too much powerful in some formats(?)

This was extremely powerful in Modern Masters limited :cool: the tricks that you were able to do with this jelly were great, between Sanctum Gargoyle, Faerie Mechanist and just other cheap artifacts. The power level was lower than the average cube though
