I share your feelings. I don't want newbies to feel stranded, but I purposefully design my cube to be as sandboxy as possible (while still rewarding drafting decks, not cards). I want them to explore and make their own game plan.

I think in the long term they totally should lean more into reusing mechanics, just as worlds. If they keep the same ratio of old and new, we would take longer and longer before we could revisit some beloved planes and mechanics.

I am looking for lower to middling power cards in black that want to be milled. Preferably something that can be used somewhat cheap, so something that I can use on turn three or four after casting an Undead Butler or Ransack the Lab on two and feel good about it.
