Better to sell out from Modern now than later. In Wizards’ eyes the format is dead. They focus on
- Limited
- Standard (still, maybe not for long, or maybe they will do a push to keep it alive)
- Commander
- Collectors
No joke.
Only thing is I am not 100 % sure they said profit. Maybe they said revenue but I believe I heard profit.
Prereleases are being prioritized on paper over Arena again. They are also no longer actually PRE releases. Money has to go up and to the right and up up up. And the Post Malone...
A few news from Wizards of the Coast yesterday:
- Hasbro has announced that Wizards of the Coast must increase their profit (revenue - costs = profit) by 50 % over the next 3 years as of yesterday.
- Paper Magic is back to having their prereleases before Magic Arena. Also prereleases aren't...
How to get players to play mono-colored:
1. Cut the amount of colors from five to a smaller number. Maybe cut white so the cube only includes blue, black, red and green.
2. Cut all fixing lands and all regular multicolored cards that require more than one color of mana to cast them.

Nice catch with the Weathertop...
A fine idea.
Some great things can come from it. Simplicity and signaling. Also a lot of shuffling across the table. I would worry about everything having a toooooo easy time brewing greedy decks. But maybe you could test it, analyze on the results and finally publish your findings here?
@Onderzeeboot
Not Magic related but custom related. I’ll write here instead of in a PM because maybe others will find it useful too.
Can you help me find the best Middle Earth (or The Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Rings of Power) artwork of a world map in as high resolution as possible?
You’re...
If history repeats itself they will dip as of this announcement and then slowly climb again leaving them at their current state again in a few months time and climb even higher and higher afterwards.
That being said I don’t know how Wizards will top this year’s sales revenue when they decide to...
I agree. Maybe the nee stained glass from Dominaria United. Or Strixhaven's Mystical Archive.
This might be an idea for a ‘Monthly Fun Q’ in a year or two when Wizards have had time to give us quite the selection to favor and hate.
