My point is that the cards are a little easier to splash for. Granted, Kird Ape is a gruul card and should take up a gold slot but I'm greedy so I fiddle the book-keeping.

I love the flashback cards that I run several of them as mono colored. Not having both colors won't wreck you with them in the same way a gold card does. Same reason I decided to run kird ape as a red card. Will try to find room for Rally too I think.

It's an uncommon too so it's not going to be ludicrously expensive.

I can vouch for Sentilen, it feels really good to be able to control the board like that. You can use the tap ability offensively as well, tap down their best blocker.
