Doubling Season (5 mana) + Jace, Architect of Thought is an instant kill in Modern, and DS + Garruk, Primal Hunter may as well be.

No point in playing Verdict over a Wrath IMO, but DSphere does have some interesting corner cases where it's better than ORing and Azorius Charm is really cool (but falls prey to the 'I would want it in all of my UW decks but I don't want it in the Cube/draft' problem)

It failed because there wasn't a dredge theme. The poisonous nature of the enablers was never an issue because there weren't any :(

Looking at themes for a secondary, less powerful Cube. First up: Auras! Tallowisp -> Phantom Nomad -> Ordeal of Thassa Tallowisp -> Evershrike -> Angelic Destiny adorable, right? (other Spirits include Eidolons (!), Rusalkas, ZUBERAS, Bloodghast, Spirit of the Labyrinth, Strangleroot...

It won't be in any decks that 3-0 your Cube, that's for sure.
