How realistic is it to expect drafters to build around this card? Door to Nothingness Without a specific support but in a cube with solid fixing in form of nonbasic lands, mana rocks and green ramp. I think it was in the core set cube on mtgo, but sometimes weird stuff is in these cubes.

But Blast from the Past is a 3 for 1 usually, Jet and Firebolt can't offer you that. You usually use Cycling with Madness and then flash it back for four mana soon. But all modes are relevant, even the buyback for a late game top deck duel.

Whisperer seems much more fair, which is a plus for me, but still great in the right deck and far from narrow. Sovereign looks more crazy, but it is also more pushed. If that fits yourpower level I'd vote for the fancier card.

Occultist is roch solid, I'm definitely not cutting it for the Ravager. It's a 3-drop playable in any remotely aggressive red deck, but also has a cheap madness cost, making it just the right mix of generally playable and archetype-supporting.

Well, Anje's Ravager has several upsides over the phoenix for this deck: - it costs only one red mana, really nice for a two-colored aggro deck. - it's cheaper to cast when discarded and doesn't need a full graveyard for coming back early. - it's less of a value, goodstuff card but a synergistic...

Anje's Ravager Would this card be okay in a lower powerd cube like mine? It seems like it could go crazy sometime, but maybe the drawbacks are enough to make it fair. Being an enabler and a payoff for madness aggro is a big deal, and te deck could use a slightly pushed 3-drop.

I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping for some nice escape cards in red and green that are worthy for madness aggro, but I don't find a single one. And the black devotion cards also aren't really interesting. In the end I'm jamming Mire Triton and testing Slaughter-Priest of Mogis and that's it :/

Tzey should have had no mana cost instead of this akward pseudo evoke. That way they wouldn't only be more elegant but also not contribute to the devotion of the gods, which they oppose after all. And it would invoke even more escspe flavor.

Depends on your point of view more than anything else. There could be too much fixing ... ... to have monocolored decks be good, cause there are too many lands and too strong multicolored decks ... so it occupies unneccesarily many slots you'd prefer for other cool tools ... so gold cards lose...

On a serious note, I think I give this price to these guys for there usefulness in naya colored decks: Blood Artist Falkenrath Noble
